Reducing Ping?

Which way would yous say are the best to reduce your ping in Cs? (1.6 btw).... Any suggestions... thanks

1. Don't download
2. Don't use a wireless connection
3. close any apps that may use the net while your playing
4. try a new router
5. get a new ISP.

The ones in bold are the easiest and most efficient ways of reducing ping, also don't try playing through a mobile phone connection... I did that and my ping was like 2000 LOL

changing cl_updaterate, cl_cmdrate and rate

steampowered.com support has a script so you can test which one works best with yours

Run counterstrike at a lower resolution in a window, instead of full screen.
