Default How much is your Insurance?!

Hey - quite a nosy question I know, but I'm currently trying to get insurance on my mum and dads car...

The best sort of offer I'm getting is like £700 when I am a provisional learner. However, when I pass and am a full license holder it's gonna go up to like £1400!

This is even with my mum as the main driver on the policy...

Is this expensive? It means it's gonna cost like £130 a month.... Tbh I think this is quite expensive, but maybe I'm just expecting too much?

    Thanks...

    Citroen C3 Desire

I tried it with like a renault clio though and it was comnig up the same basically... So the car isn't really making a big impact - nor is pass plus.

I know, I was thinking Pass Plus would be a huge price crash, but unfortunately not. Mine was £660 I think on a Provisional.

Yeh my provisional is cool at around 700 which is not bad - but then it shoots right up to almost double when I pass and I can't seem to find anything to bring it down...

Not sure which insurance companies you are checking with, my brother drove around for over 2 years on my parents insurance firstly on his provisional and then on his full licence, because the quotes were horrendous some as high as £2000 for fully comp which is really unfair on male drivers. He's over 21 now and at long last able to afford fully comprehensive insurance in his own name and he is paying £800 after one year of no claims.

My insurance is cheaper it's a fact that it costs less for females. Mine is around £650 fully comp and I've now got myself 18 months no claims. I drive a Toyota Yaris, low group insurance.

As a family we all use Tesco Insurance as there are benefits for multiple car policies. Give them a try or give compare.com a try too.

What insurance group is a C3?
