    Delete everything below
    127.0.0.1 localhost
I dont know what the rest of that is, but its not in the norm?
My host file for example looks like:

Try that editing it to be exacly like mine, and then reboot, however backup before you do any changes (just to be on the safe side). once rebooted try sites that dont work

    Just rebooting now...

If I remember right, i'm sure I had the same (if not, very similar) problem like a year ago, and it turned out to be a program called 'PeerGuardian' blocking IPs of some sites.

If there any way you could check out whether a similar thing is happening?

    Thanks,

in cmd type "route print" and copy back everything it says alot of the time programs will just create virtual routes that end up nowhere to block data, i'll have a look to see if there is a program to detect instances of things like peerguardian though.

Arabic, for you you'll probably need to re-flash your homehub - i dont have the exact location for the image though, but its on your homehub installation disk.

If you can - you can download it from: http://static.btopenworld.com/broadb...overy_626E.zip
The instructions for this are at: http://static.btopenworld.com/broadb...ns_Windows.pdf

    http://static.btopenworld.com/broadb...overy_626E.zip - tool to download
    http://static.btopenworld.com/broadb...ns_Windows.pdf - instrunctions

Changing the hosts file did nothing,
and here's what I got from 'route print' (in image form to save the time of typing everything out):

Couldn't seem to get it to go in the post right!

    Thanks!

just another note, Its a problem with the computer

Im now at another house with a Sky router.. and its still being funny.
    Have you downloaded anything recently?
Or when you start up.. Do you get an "Installing.." box and it goes away, reappears for a split second then dis-appears?
    Thats what happens to mine..
    fine before that message..

I have no idea what i've downloaded, but I can't say I haven't downloaded anything.

And, I don't think I get an installation when I boot?

    It's really confusing!
