To be honest, the Kentucky Fried Cruelty site is being a bit discusting with the images of dead, cartoon chickens bleeding everywhere so they're not really any better, but I can see their point. Might also explain why KFC makes me vomit, in the most horrible way possible.

... Why do they cut off the beaks? Ewww?

I see your point, but if it didn't make me violently sick through food poisoning I wouldn't complain so much...

People should be aware that it's not just KFC who do this, McDonalds and Burger King do it too.

They can't really solve this either, if they decided to go free-range, it'll take months before the first batch come through and might cost alot to make the change over, unless they go with a free-range farm temporarily. Although, with all the money they make it won't exactly be alot...

It won't exactly be "fast food" either if they went free range. It would cost like £7 for a bloomin' burger.

Indeed, and free-range farms take up alot of space which would cost them even more. Though, the chicken might taste nicer if they did go free-range... Not a fan

I'm loving the whole idea that this is something which the majority of us are obvlivious to.
Battery farming is being made extinct by 2012 in the UK, did we know that?
Voters in California will have a chance to vote on animal welfare, this being one of the issues, did we know about that?

Who needs PETA, the world gets things done, just slower than they want. If it was up to them we'd be overpopulated by animals as well as humans. Brilliant, thanks for the consideration PETA!
You french fried when you should have pizza'd. If you french fry when you should pizza, you're gonna have a bad time....

    Stop with this hippy ********.

I agree that it's harsh how they treat the birds, but this campaign has been going for a long time now and has been posted countless times on this forum. I used to strongly agree with this campaign until I found out the stuff about peta which is just as shocking as what we're talking about here and the fact there is nothing I/we can do. Anyway, KFC will do nothing as at the end of the day, nowhere near enough people will EVER boycott the restaurant.

Also, the guy who said they should be closed down for what they do, the video footage, etc is taken from factories in foreign countries so I don't think they could go to court for it.
