Halo 3 wasn't nessacarily a let down. It all depends on how you think about it, the multiplayer was pretty badass.

Multiplayer was hardly different from 2 and single player was just bad.

Although Halo 3 has a shockingly bad singleplayer, i've grown fond of the multiplayer, it's quite simple and easy to pick up.
as i said, i think GTAIV was a letdown, and actually preffered SA, IV doesn't really have the 'GTA feel'there was little we could say, and even less we could do, as the ice kept getting thinner under me and you
