I read loads of things not too long ago saying that scientist's have been studying things in space about a planet crossing the earth (idk) and something will happen and we'll all die.

Yes, this 'new world' happens every 26 thousand years or something, yes we survived, but billions of people would of died each time.. The world stops spinning and could spin the other way etc, this mucks up everything and if the earth didnt get sunlight for a long time, people wouldnt be able to grow food etc.
