If you remember, there was no evidence to prosecute just the testimonies of the people he effected. He was a very smart criminal. And also Danny said he didn't want to press charges.

Then they were going to start a new life in America then Danny pulled out but then he came back and got an alliance with Rick. After going back to tie a few loose ends he and Rick executed their plan but now it's not going so well which brings us to the finale.

Was very fun to write even though it took me ages deciding what will happen.
