    Paul O Grady lives kind of near me, around 15 min drive.
    Michael Howard's main office is located very close to me, and I met him and shook his hand when getting an award from him but tbh I'm not a great supporter of him.. (or at least when he was in control of conservative party)
    William Harvey who discovered the circulation of blood was born here, and my school is named after him.
    Noel Redding, bass player of The Jimi Hendrix Experiance was born and lived here and went to the school I am at now.
    King Edward VII and his mistress enjoyed going to the Grand Hotel which is around 2-3 min walk from here.
    Also the channel tunnel connecting Britain to Mainland Europe is viewable from my window

    Also, Folkestone had the earthquake last year, and was the epicenter of it, that hit at around 8:18am on a sunday morning, I remember that day so clearly lol!

    David James lives pretty damn close to here, the band MUSE are from the same town as me (lol we iz homies!!!) & er... Well, you could say Joss Stone for being Devonshire but meh, I think that's aboot it!
