    Yes, and you will be able to access your documents through it (when you click my documents it actually will go to your account on the network)

    Also, my dad has a MESH computer, and has broken down loads so he has to use a laptop, and it would be easier to be able to has his account on another laptop so he has all his documents... Same for me...

    Just use your old pc whip in a better hdd if your serious about this, we (on behalf of manorsolutions) would advise customers not to unless running a business.

    It's not too badly priced but presumably you could get cheaper if you built yourself.

    Let him do what he wants... I'd suggest a old PC which you don't use just make that a Server... It won't hurt, my dad done that on a crappy Intel Pentium 3 (I think) 512MB RAM etc with Windows Server 2003. And it was a tad slow booting up but it done the job. He hosted his own websites on it haha.

    If all it is, is a storage server just get a nice Time Capsule from Apple, or a MyBook and network it.
