Default Windows Media - External Listening

    Hey all!

I need a bit of help. I want to make the listen streams of the website I work with open in Windows Media Player & Winamp.

I've created the appropriate files /listen.asx and /listen.pls and they both work when inputting them in to both players manually.

    BUT

When you type in the url of the listen files in the browser or click on the buttons to open them, you just see the information you have inputted and saved to the ftp appear (if you get what I mean).

Are there any other files, i'm meant to input, and / or has anyone experienced this problem?

Surely this depends on your Browser's default on how to open specific file extensions?

    Thanks for your response.

Well, I have checked on another computer and in both I.E. & FF. No such luck, I have also looked at tuts on the net (even on the Microsoft website) and followed everything but it doesn't work as planned.

I've had problems with this before with other people. I'll check the browser settings and see if this the case though.

I have the problem with the .pls, it opens a box asking me if i want to save or open the file. However my asx automatically opens up WMP.
