Default Connect to my other computer... how?

How would I go about connecting one of my home computers to another home computer. I need to transfer files from one to another. I know it's possible to do it via SSH, but could anyone tell me how? Thanks and +rep.

If it is on the same network, create a shared folder.

Best way & the way I do it is via Teamviewer, saves me walking to the other side of the room, and it's easier to transfer files.. AND Also I can aggrevate my sister.

Why? SSH isn't even standard for Windows... if you want to do that use telnet.
