This whole "Arsenal don't have any British players" crap is boring me now. It's gone on for years and generally comes from armchair fans. Arsenals youth/reserve squad consists majorly of British players.
Does it make sense to anybody else that buying an English player for £30m is ridiculous when you can buy a similar talent from a fraction of that price?

Yes but, although one person may not make a team, he could have helped us to try and push into the Premier League therefore earning the club much more than the transfer fee.

Arsenal only have one British player who is like a first team player and that's Theo Walcott. United for example have Rooney, Hargreaves, Scholes, Giggs, Ferdinand and Wes Brown.

It does make sense, however in my opinion, international football is suffering because of it.

Compared to what Arsenal can afford, and bring to the club it is. Surely they could tempt a real top class midfielder? And someone who is instantly great and like hub said, not become great in 3 years time.
