The reason it was changed was some people wanted the actual text instead of the smiley, as they didn't like the look of the smiley. However : O looks wierd as text, and
looks normal and cooler. Thus, since it didn't matter what the smiley shortcut looked like since it would become a smiley : O (sans space of course) became the shocked smiley shortcut. We will keep for the people who would prefer not to use the default emote.
It costs nothing to be a good friend.
