"Most" is unfair. Usually the sequels aren't as good as the originals, with notable exceptions being Aliens and Terminator 2: Judgement Day that are better than the first films, but many, many are decent follow-ups.

The naked gun sequals have been great. Number 2>1. But like a lot of movies, the sequals start to suck after 3rd or 4th.

I think that the original Naked Gun is far superior to that of 2 1/2, but the first sequel is still very decent. The third film is not a ZAZ picture and it isn't very good.

Exactly. I like 2 1/2 though because I know the characters more and whatnot, but they are both amazing movies. Number 3 was a bit of a letdown, but its still watchable with a lot of LOL moments.

There are a few occasions like that, but I still maintain that most sequels suck, Spiderman 3 for example, eeww.
