Application Ideas

Sorry for another post on TehUpload, but I seem to have gotten some pretty good response from this.

The application development is going pretty good, and I have made some pretty good progress overnight.. and I am learning so much from it, and expanding my knowledge of desktop programming.

Sooooooo!

I need some ideas for the application. I am hoping to make this a pretty great software release, so that it becomes useful for a lot of people.

At the moment the features are:

• Capture Screen (Screenshot of full screen)
• Upload Images (by dragging them onto the window, you can then view and remove them before uploading)
• Upload Confirmation (Yes/No to upload, shows picture thumbnail to preview)
• Capture Area (Drag/Drop and then upload, confirmation)
• TehUpload console (main window which you can access these features if you do not want to right click on the icon in the taskbar)
• Hide (hide the TehUpload console, and send it to the taskbar)

So give me some ideas!

Sounds like a longshot, but you mentioned you want to be doing file uploads,
maybe screen recording?

Film a 5 minute clip, etc?

When you click capture screen it should ask you if you want the image to be private (so it doesnt appear on the recent images).

I don't think file uploads will be part of the application, due to the fact that it is sending the file as a POST request to the server. If I wanted to upload files through the application, I would have to find a better way.

I have now included a feature that allows you to type in a URL, and grab a screenshot of the URL as it would appear on a 1280x1024 screen.

I don't believe people understand.. I can't do that.

I am a Windows Developer.. I own Windows computers.. I can not develop and test on a MAC if I don't have one.. and I am not going out to buy one just to develop it.

I have said it numerous times.. if someone would like to develop the application for TehUpload for a Mac, or any other Operating System.. I would love to talk to them.

Just added the 'Private' feature that someone requested, it is now on the confirmation page, as a button in the middle.



I have also added a 'Twitter Feed' to the site, so you can view live development notes on what I am doing, and what features I have added to the site/application.
