    Im thinking of upgrading my MacBook's hard drive. Would I have to buy a certain one or could I buy anyone like this:

    You would need a 2.5" SATA drive I should think.

    That's correct I can confirm. Try looking for that instead of IDE, I imagine you'll be able to get more for your money too.
