    Default Normandy

I came back from Normandy yesterday, and I must say it was very eventful, when I get the pictures I will post them on, I will try to get some without me on it or my friends, my teachers I discovered are highly competitive! It was good though we sailed from Portsmouth to Cherbourg at about 5 or 6pm, then went to Coutances (sounds like croutons) which is where we stayed up the road from Ed the Hypermarket W00t ED! We saw the Bayeux or whatever tapestry from 1166 (took 100 years to make so basically 1066 (Battle of Hastings)) and went to the American and German Cemetery, the German one was all black but the American was all white and they were very racist in the colours and the presentation, we found my best friends dead Great Grandad in the Memorial of the Missing in the American Cemetery at Omaha beach. We also went to a cheese factory which stank like poo :S they even made it more boring by showing us a film on how cheese is made honestly. The rooms were terrible and all green but the girls rooms were all really nice and big. On the last day we had a massive pillow fight every boy got their pillows (which were shaped like SAUSAGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and had a mass pillow fight and I called everyone gypsies Then we got into trouble. And theres alot more but my fingers hurt now.

I went to the beaches when I was very young with my parents so I cannot remember anything at all. It would be interesting to return after reading your account.
