More "normal" space in the helpdesk would be good I reckon. I'm hardly ever on Habbo myself but when I am it's quite a laugh in there as long as there's some ok people about. Making it more of a social place as well as the help function would make it more popular
everyone is more into gaming and trading on habbo now rather then helping desks and other rooms such as?
hallo jurgen!
Defo agreed.
I think that there definitely does need to be more support aimed at the help desk in general, but as Alice said times have changed and help desks are starting to become a thing of the past.
However, there obviously are still some users who use them - but as the demand changes I think the department should adapt in relation to it. Therefore I agree with the suggestion of making it a more social area and concentrating on a room that could be a general "lounge" as Alice said where people can just get together. But also there should be a smaller area dedicated to offering a service of help, perhaps no more than a quarter of the room size.
I think it is important Habbox adapts in accordance to the evolution of Habbo itself and it's users demands and wants.

With this I totally agree, when I was manager the desk was still pretty popular for help with new users because they see ''Help Desks'' on the guest rooms floor and there is normally only HxHD and the CH Desk which are popular. Generally the room is used as a chill for Habbox staff and friends on Habbo which is good and alot of the time there are DJ's partying in there which is something myself and ,Jess, tried to do whilst I was the assistant but it didnt really take off untill the DJ's did it on there own. And to what Alice said about an adjoining room, this is what we tried to do with the events team. It did not really work as people werent interested in events and competitions even when Dan did give out thousands of credits as assistant and the manager.Help Desks aren't what they were two and three years ago, they have become slightly a thing of the past. There is so much more now, including this forum, where help can be obtained. Habbo's have it a lot easier than before, and that is just going to go on improving. A few weeks ago I visited the HxHD using a clone, I sat there for a good 5 minutes and no one spoke to me, in fact I made the effort to talk to someone who was sat close by, an ex hobba. A Habbo entered the room, and asked for help, I kept quiet for a bit and then asked if I could help. Turned out they were new to Habbo, and having spent nearly 45 minutes talking with them in another room, I discovered they had recently applied to work at Sulake, and just wanted some knowledge before attending a second interview.
Habbox should seriously consider making HxHD more of a lounge with a help area, and with an adjoining room, which could be used for a variety of events, parties, and other such things. It should certainly be given better promotion and nothing less than any other department. It still has an important part to play
You say about making the desk smaller, we did try and update the room from the older layout which nvrspk had had since christmas to a more open and airy layout which was not liked by anyone it seemed but to be replaced with full petal floors and a larger staff area where there was actually less space to move around in so I dont know how that would really be able to be done without people complaining about it not looking and feeling like a help desk.Honestly, I think the Desk is more important than the Casino. I just saw this advertisement and to be frank, it upsets me that we don't promote a department focused specifically on one room.
Perhaps making the desk part smaller and adding a bigger area for parties, then require DJs to have a certain amount of parties in the desk would help. Leah would always have DJ parties in the desk, and it maxed out the room a great deal.
Indeed, I totally agree with you. This is why I believe we should begin requiring all candidates to take interviews, require that they answer ten Habbo related questions.
We've been aware that Help Desks aren't as popular as they used to be, but back when they used to be, I cannot remember Habbox putting banners for us on Habbox.com. Though, as you did also say you saw a user that came in seeking support. There are still users that come on in need of support, but there are some staff members who are unable to help the users with their problems.
Also, one thing I did make sure I re-introduced as manager is interviews because I felt that some candidates did not have sufficent knowledge of Habbo and really didnt want to waste there time or mine time with trials. Once we had I think 19 trialists over 4 weeks and we had less than half of them pass, later when I re introduced this we had something like 6/9 trialists pass which was extremely good which shows it does work and I am not sure about dan2nd but I am sure Dinasaw is using this method.
People say that help desk's are not as popular as they used to be which is true but HxHD is the longest surviving popular desk on Habbo. Back in 05 etc information was hard to get a hold of but now it is all on the site for users to get at but only for experienced users who know where it is. New users are baffeled as to where to find information which we about. As HxHD is generaly the top of the pop list it does get popular quiet a bit with new users asking for help but obviously not as many as there used to be.
Also I dont think that HxHD really needs a banner, it is extremely well known through out the hotel by old and newer users and by over 100 staff members of habbox most of which use it on a regular basis along with many of the forum users which then pulls in other people who may not be associated or use the site.
HxHD was previously advertized and I believe there was a reccomendation made for HxHD to have a banner, however as Immenseman said the decision was made to focus on one thing this month and then switch the next month.
As far as making HxHD more of a public place goes, that may be done. Honestly people don't use HxHD that much for help anymore. The problem being, of course, if HxHD is no longer really for help, then staff really have no reason to come other than to chat, and then we have no staff who come in, and then it simply becomes a second "Trade and Casino" without the incoming flow of people.
It costs nothing to be a good friend.

I will make a prediction that now the x's are gone and people wont rush off to the welcome lounges for help then help desks will make a big come backjust think how good it will look for hxhd when you hxhd staff work your way up to get some good badges
I would have said hxhd should be more a social club but now stick it outi do think a more social area in the room is good away from the help area.
I disagree with having the radio parties in HxHD now because it just fills the room with people saying things like "omg dj *** plz play britney spears!!" and the people who are there just to chat, chill or to get help get pissed of. I can remember someone making a thread a while ago complaining about the parties and a lot of peope agreed that it was annoying.
As others have said, HxHD hasn't been what it used to be ever since DJ-3000 left. The staff were respected and looked up to and it used to be the place to be on Habbo. One of the things I used to enjoy about the the old HxHD, owned by DJ-3000 (being a 14-15 year old) was seeing Habbox management in the room such as Jrh, Mizki and JackHB. Sierk also used to visit it a lot.
HxHD have probably now got the best opportunity to rise and shine on the Help Desk floor. Those members of the Welcome Party who plan on succeeding to gain status in the community will not obtain it over night, so there is going to be a gap of no X's and thousands of wannabee important Welcome Party recruits.
In my opinion Help Desks are going to be given a new lease of life, players who genuinely need help and don't know where to turn, will go to help desks more often than they have done in the past two or so years. HxHD needs good promoting, I also tend to agree with Barkseh, holding parties there isn't the answer, however if the room was set up correctly, with an area that is clearly away from a larger social area and clearly looks like a help desk area, the room would then become a more socially better equipped room, and dj's could use their shows to do a flying visit.
Speaking of the radio, do dj's promote HxHD?, I would like to think they already do, but if they don't they should, in exactly the same way they promote all of Habbox!
I have visited HxHD, it is a very social place, but sadly if you are new to the room, the seats at the desk are taken up by others just socialising, you do get ignored if you sit alone, that's no individuals fault and until a better layout is created that will never change. So grab that opportunity now, and make it better, and promote promote![]()

It's the quality of your posts that count, not the quantity!
Dignity does not consist in possessing honours, but in deserving them.
Can you have more of a public space in the help desk? You could always have a linking room to the help desk, so people can have 2 rooms to their disposal.

I agree - Perhaps just a habbox drop-in or something.Help Desks aren't what they were two and three years ago, they have become slightly a thing of the past. Or just leave it as it is, and give it a bit more promotion
I spose its true - I still settle at what I have said to habbo for an idea, They need bigger guest rooms - But not as big as the 300+ tiles but more of something like 150 or 200 as the current one's are too small or way too large.HxHD have probably now got the best opportunity to rise and shine on the Help Desk floor. More public space - Yeh I spose, I have an idea which I will tell manager now,
Having a linking room to the desk would just be a bit awkward because then people wanting help would need to go through the teleport or we would have to advertise two rooms.
