    You do know the DPA is the UK? Doesn't mean it classes for the whole world.

    Yes, but British users' information should still be held under the DPA in whatever country it is held in because it's from Britain.

    Or is my Irish ICT teacher talking bull?

    If the server is held over seas (in America or somewhere) then English law has no control over what YouTube does with the information.

    Like the Digital Millennium Copyright Act having no control over sites like TPB.

    I dont see what would be so bad if they did know what videos we watched, and what our IPs are.

    I wasn't even worried anyway all I do is search game montages and funny things I also sometimes watch some fights, nothing to worry about if they handed it over anyway.
