Today I bought a used halo3 and the bourne cinspiracy in GAME. Then when I tried to begin Halo i realised the disc was COVERED in scratches.

How could they sell me a game that doesn't work

Lesson learnt, if buying a pre owned game always check the disc..

Thats weird because everytime i trade in games in GAME they always check for scratches

Go to Gamestation and have the disk cleaned

I bought GRAW 2 and XBLA Unplugged NEW, and they were scratched. They gave me a new GRAW 2 and cleaned the XBLA one for me.

Effecient stores do check the disk condition and usually charge for a disc clean on trade in. If it works then there's nothing you can do, if it doesn't take it back and you'll get a replacement.
