No way. And it's crazy! I'm in Ireland right now and the euro exchange rate is incredible. it's like 80p for 1 euro and the chocolate bars cost about 1 euro each. Thats at least 35p more than england per chocolate bar. And also flumps which cost 10p are 40 cents which is about 28p.

I would hate to have the euro. It would make the credit crunch situation even worse than it already is. Imagine having to halve your money if the euro came and not only that, everthing would be almost double the price and in most cases even more. If we did go to the euro things would turn out so bad the politicians would realise and want to go back to the pound. But what would be done would be irreversable because changing money back to pounds would mean you lose even more. Bad situation hey?

well I dont want the euro, then poundland would turn into something like 1.20euroland which isnt cool atall, I want to be able to walk in with a quid coin and walk out wif sum knock off condoms.

I prefer the pound coin too, it just looks nicer and its soo easy to work things out now too.

Great Britain isn't great anymore, taxes are rediculously high on everything, you go to Lanzarote, Diesel is about 1/4 of the price over there, same for just about everything else that is sold in Spain.

Wouldn't surprise me if good ol' Gordo raised VAT.

Yes but salaries are taxed a hell of a lot more heavily in mainland europe.

The sooner the euro comes, the better imo. Prices seem high in other countries because of our poor exchange rate which will worsen and our trade with europe could suffer.

To be honest, I do doubt it. I mean the euro would wreck the UK economy.
