ah im sort of understanding it now... just a little. so i plug in 3.5mm to 1/4 into the where the non xlr mic would usually be. connect the other end to the back of my computer. also plug in my speakers into my mixer. so i go to play something on my computer it goes to my mixer then it goes to the speakers and plays... ah i understand. alsoy what would i need for speakers because they go into line in and they require 2x 1/4 or something like that dont they

Yeh, you would just wants a 3.5mm to 1/4" converter for the speakers unless you were going to go and buy proper ones

Are you playing off your PC, or recording onto your PC?
As you'd have the plug it into the Microhpone jack, not the speaker, if you're using it to record.

Well you plug it into the microphone port, not the audio.
