Keep the blog addon!!
I've started to get used to it and can't be bothered with the whole blogspot rubbish. I generally read others from time to time, but I guess this would have to be a group decision as one man's word won't be strong enough.

Surely something can be done to encourage people to use the addon? or has this been done and didn't succeed?

Why do you need a blog on a forum? Surely you can just post your thoughts, it's all archived anyway
