Expect this to be the last ever Windows OS. Microsoft is moving away from Windows and are going to start a new OS project called, "Midori". This is the change Microsoft has been needing, and until Midori is released I'm sticking to Mac OS X and Ubuntu.

It's a good 5 years off yet I imagine. I certainly hope to get Windows 7 before Midori, Midori doesn't look like it'll suit my needs anyway, I hope they make another OS too

Windows 7 looks promising, then again so did Vista. The version of 7 that was released was even more resource greedy than vista (as it was actually mostly vista at this point). The best thing Ms could do would be

XP + New 7 Interface + DX10 = Yum yum yum

Surely that isnt the new UI is it? Hrmph.

I will get Windows 7 to go on our family computer. I dont see a valid reason for switching permanently.

I would MS rather wait a few more years and release it, rather than rush it into stores.
