id get the black one, the white one may show up some of the dirt after a while

I really want the white, however, I'm worried of the scratches and stuff.

White Pros: Unique, traditional apple colour
Cons: Dirty, scratches more visible

Black Pros: Less dirt, etc.
Cons: Fingerprints, common

White also shows the cracks it gets more easily, but I believe they occur on all 3G models.

You can get the mod'd to any colour, Gomme, like $220 for a full re-make.

To stop scratches, you can buy something called an invisible shield.

I upgraded from the original iPhone to the iPhone 3G and the new black is really bad for fingerprints, but i couldn't get the white one anyway, only black one for upgrade.

I think i'll end up with black though. Although I prefer white, it seems too much of a novelty and it'll look good at first, but after wear it would look worse.

I read they're really hard to apply to the device and feel very jagged and 'un-smooth'.


BTW: If anything black would show scratches more than white... :S
