Just got his 7th gold by 1/100th of a second. Phelps did his event in 50.58, and 2nd place did it in 50.59. WOW.

It's the same event he got disqualified in (4 x 100m medley relay), so you never know.
I hope he wins though. Losing on the last one would be the worst thing that could ever happen in Phelps' life.

Yeh I watched that race live this morning. They were considering wether he actually won after the ceremony had happened. But then about 5 minutes later they said it was official and he got it. :S He will get his 8th.

From what I gather we're minutes away from him beginning his 8th final, the medley... I'll do my best to keep you updated.
