I do this;
I go fish lobbies and every once in awhile I stroke it, give it a tuna and some milk it needs awhile to grow thought. Then I go trade my cat for 100 death runes

If you walk around with a kitten for 2 hours it grows into a cat (You need to feed it and give it milk inbetween) then if you walk around with the cat for around 2 hours again (you just need to give it milk this time) it should grow into a over-grown one.
