How old do you need to be to buy a lighter?

I don't smoke however I'm just wondering how old you need to be. I know **** is now 18, are lighters still 16? I want one to warm my hands up.

In America there is no age.. I mean they won't sell them to a 5/6 year old.. but I remember buying them when I was younger (13/14)
