    Default GTX280

    Hello,

Mum agreed to buy me a GTX280 for Christmas and she said I could order it in October But I was wondering, would it be a smart move to buy one? Are any new ones coming out?

I have £300 to spend (adding my own money too it too, pfft!)

There will be a revised version of the GTX280 sometime between now and Christmas. Probably a core shrink

Goddamnit don't buy a GTX280, if you want real performance get a 4870x2.

Im looking at a 4870x2 because then I could save to buy a second for Crossfire... But I heard ATIs drivers are total pants.

I've never had a problem with their drivers.

So you reckon the 4870x2 is the way to go?
