I remember the first WLM beta that I downloaded, I absolutely loved it but they abandoned the look in favour of a completely different and more generic one
I love my theme on the WLM I have now too much to ever change to a new version, may 8.1 live on forever

Everyone hates the green around the display pics but I dont think people realise what its for
, when someone sets themself to away there dp border turns orange, when they set themself to busy it turns red, its supposed to make things easier, I didnt like it at first but I kind of do now 
I dont like the fact that every time I resize the convo window and the size that I see my DP it changes itself back whenever I open another convo.
It is a good update, they seem to have tried realy hard to give us what we want. I do think we should have the option to either display the display pictures on the right or left though

I've heard from someone on the BETA tester team that they may make you ungrade to Windows Live Messenger 9. Like they did with 7.5, they made you upgrade to 8.5
