Default Vista - EVERYTHING is zoomed in too far

Not like me posting problems, but this has me stumped

Basically, my nan is learning how to use a PC and my uncle has some how set it so it's zoomed in a bit. The problem with this was when it came to installing anything with a "Next" / "Cancel" / "Continue" because I simply could not see them, even if I dragged the box up as far as possible, it was still cut at the bottom.

So thinking too far ahead, I tried changing the display settings to a different resolution and I changed it to 800x600 instead of the higher setting which was a huge mistake, especially when I saved it. So now it's zoomed in far too much to even see the resolution slider.

Now as far as my knowledge can take me, the resolution cannot be the problem, because the windows, symbols, icons, folders etc should shrink / enlarge to match the resolution, but they don't so it must be something to do with a zoom in function that I've never heard of.

The PC is Windows Vista Home Premium and I believe there maybe some Ease of Access features involved too, but they won't be much help considering I'm working with a rediculously small area.

Thanks in advance guys (and possibly gals if they actually exist )

    1. Right click on the background.
    2. Select Personalize.
    3. Select Display Settings.
Ensure the slider is to the right hand side. Try this in safe mode, then restart PC.

I'll have a play around tomorrow or in about 10 mins. It's not easy having to guess what button you're on when clicking TAB

I had this before, but on XP.
I think I fixed it on Safe Mode.
When I re-installed disc, it basically restarts everything.
But if you dont want to do that, then try Safe Mode!
