    oh wut.

    surely it cant just be that option, I just dont get why it's only having this problem on msn though :S I guess ill have to put up with it for now

    Then you format or something it restores default settings, including setting the keyboard options, mostly a US keyboard.

    On American keyboards the @ is above the two and the " is where our @ symbol is..

    If you reinstall Windows you can change the keyboard settings in the initial setup.

    You can also go on to control panel -> Regional and Language Options then make sure everything is set to United Kingdom and click 'apply'!
