I hope you people know what I am talking about...

Do you have to have the specific trainers for it to work also?

Cos the trainers on their own are about £80

    Hey

I don't think so, I believe you get a thing to put in your shoe so you don't have to have a specific pair of trainers.

EDIT: Appears you do, that's pretty rubbish

Well I did read that, but I thought surely that can't be true, cos they would never sell any of them!?

Yeah, it appears you need to have a pair of "Nike+ Enabled Trainers" - I see them for around £55 on Google Shopping. A pity that you can't use them with just a pair of normal trainers

Actually, I have seen on Y!Answers that it does not need to be Nike+ Shoes.

The Nike+iPod does not require the Nike+ shoes. Good thing too, because they're generally not as good as some of the other Nike shoes. All that is required is that the sensor be attached to your shoe in some fashion.

I have enclosed a link an article listing many commercial ways of attaching the sensor to your shoes (Link #1). Most of them are quite cheap. My younger brother's personal favorite is the Shoe Pouch (Link #2). It looks cool, and it's just $5.99 + shipping. Also, it's arguably the easiest to use. That's probably why I see people wearing them all the time.

I think you need to have an iPod Touch G2 for it to work (or of course a Nano)
