Or if you were that strapped for cash then maybe you should make a sandwich at home for about 50p a day instead of using my parent's money. I'm not entitled to EMA, but my parents couldn't afford to give me £30 a week. I pay for most of my own things. My train fare is £7 a week which is paid for by my parents but I pay for my lunches with money that I have earnt working.

I work too, but I still get EMA.. I work for things I want, EMA pays for petrol/bus, food and drink etc whem I'm at college..

I've tried getting a job to earn money for myself but I can't seem to find a company that will give me a chance.

I really don't want to sound harsh, because I don't mean it like it's going to sound but your obviously not looking hard enough - There are plenty of jobs out there, you'll be able to find one in a few weeks if you really tried.

Well don't complain about spending £50 a month on sandwiches when you know that you can spend a fifth of that if you make them at home. EMA isn't fair- that's probably why I'm coming across as 'bitter'. My parents income doesn't match the required criteria however they couldn't afford to give me £30 a week. Instead I have to work and earn the money wheras people that get EMA can afford to not work atall. I probably receive just as much finacial support from my parents as you guys do.

EMA is unfair, but if I didn't have a job and no EMA I wouldn't be able to go to college, it's 32 miles away and my parents aint too keen on paying a fortune a week for me just to go to college.

Believe me, I don't think anyone has had as many rejection letters as me haha. Infact im handing in another 2 applications tomorrow, I hope I get the position *cri*

I think you're wrong. I do understand but you're just critisising everyone who recieves EMA for wasting "your parents money".

£50 on a month of sandwhiches really isn't that much considering how much the sandwhiches are. You don't even know how much the sandwhiches I purchase cost yet your critisising me for wasting your parents cash when it's funded by my parents. You must be forgetting that my parents pay tax too, so it's not really you're parents cash thats being spent on my EMA.

I spend around £80, as we go to subway all the time - but I do get a drink and snack out of that.

Rejection letters is part of the fun - Maybe you should reconcider what your writing in applications? - I seem to be invited to a interview for every job I apply for.. As my mum said earlier (after just getting a interview with one of the UK's top themeparks ) "You must write some s*** in them applications" haha. But I've been offered a job for every interview I've been too..

I think the majority of the reasons why I got rejected was because of my age. I know it says they don't consider your application by your age but that's a blatant lie. On some applications all I had to do was fill in my details and I still got rejected yet my neighbour who is 18 did the exact same thing and got an interview.

I'm 16 and I've had a few job interviews.

Haha, as I say it depends just what you put on your application.
