Neither is spending 48 hours in a cell, with no bed other than a giant concrete block (no mattress, no pillow, no blanket - just concrete until sometime between 9:00-10:00). All you've got is a tiny room that's painted completely white, your extremely uncomfortable concrete block, and a window - and the only view you've got is a damn cornfield and some trees. And to top it off, you have to wear a shirt, pair of sweatpants, and boxers than hundreds of other kids have worn. That's the detention center for ya. Hell, I wish I had someone screaming "I'M INNOCENT!" It probably would've been the highlight of my day.

Yeah... had to do the above 3 times in less than a month and a half.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the only thing you can have in your cell is a bible if you request it. I don't know about you, but as an Atheist, I really couldn't care less about the bible. And it doesn't make a very comfortable pillow, either.

I'm on probation for posession of marijuana, and I got away with smoking for a while. I kept pushing my limits, dropped dirty (THC was in my system when they gave me a drug test), and the punishment is spending 48 hours in the detention center. That happened 3 times before I just gave up. My last 4 or 5 drug tests have been clean.

My probation officer told my mom that the 3rd time I would have to go to rehab for 3 months, but by some miracle they just sent me to the detention center for a 3rd 48 hour stay. It sucked, but it was a blessing.
