Probably because the Leona's, Mariah's and Alexandra's are the people most likely to break into the American scene.

Comparing Jordin Sparks or Diana Degarmo, who are probably the American Idol equivalent of Diana from X Factor, make it pretty clear that AI is a whole different league of singing though. Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia are more comparable to Leona, although they're different types of singers.

That is like an insult, Fantasia is awful, she looks and sounds like a croaking toad. Jennifer is more comparable to Alex rather than Leona, seeing as Leona has more of a classical/opera voice (as she was classically trained) and plus she has way more range.

Alexandra is Leona standard imo - If she was to get the proper training like Leona did when she was kept in the quiet for a year or so, she'd be amazing.

all x factor winners are kept in the dark for a year and then they normally release a single the week the show starts so they open it really.

Alex has been my favourite since the auditions so obviously i want her to win. Her and leona shouldnt be compared as they are different voices and ranges completely. Leona holds notes with key changes in them and alex likes big notes.

'X Factor' judge Louis Walsh has revealed what some of the contestants will be singing in tomorrow night's 'Take That Special'.
In an interview on Chris Moyles' BBC Radio 1's 'Breakfast Show', Walsh confirmed that his act, JLS, will be singing 'Back for Good'.
He also revealed that Eoghan will be singing 'Never Forget' and Diana will be taking on 'Patience'.

Walsh said that Alexandra will be singing 'Relight My Fire' and Rachel will perform 'Rule The World'.
