Default CoD : WaW Disc Problem

Ok well my bro moved my xbox when i was playing cod world at war, and it created a laser burn in the disc, and obviously, i cannot play the map called "airfield" anymore because i was playing it at the time, but since it scratched, i keep timing out of games such as nazi zombies, online matches and everything.
I got the disc unscratched but still has a tiny burn in it.
When i time out though, i can straight away get back into the game i disconnected from.
Is it my disc, or my connection? Or maybe both?

We had a child and it had a very large penis so we named it Jeremy.
