You lot have obviously got the wrong idea of this day an age pirates -.- When I went for a cruise 5 years ago, the ship went under attack by pirates and we had to wait 11 days on some island for rescuing, it was OK though because the people there were awsome!

Obviously they're going to be nice and such as if they harmed any of them they wouldn't get the ransom they asked for and would instead probably have navy and such attacking them.

Most pirates have never had to use guns etc to actually shoot people or harm people an dmost the time the company pays the ransom to get their cargo and crew back.

We dont pay ransoms. So either they wouldnt. Oh and it would probs be SAS/SBS.

And yer most of the priates have. if there from somalia they usual fight aleast once a week. A dispute is settled by shooting them.

Yes we do pay ransoms, that recent ship that got hijacked (oil tanker) they got paid £2m ransom.
