    Must say... I have never had that problem

    I do swear at it a lot when they make you compile the bloomin' software your self and you know nothing about compiling it!!

    Only happens if you use the drivers from the nvidia website rather than the ones in the repository (The offer better performance btw ).

    Why dont you just save the drivers into a folder, then copy then and install from the copy, that way next time you loose your drivers they will be on the desktop?

    I have never used Ubuntu so sorry if this wont work

    Ubuntu has nothing to do with the OP, it was OT

    If your on about the Nvidia ones, theres no point cus they update them anyways
