I do swear at it a lot when they make you compile the bloomin' software your self and you know nothing about compiling it!!![]()
Only happens if you use the drivers from the nvidia website rather than the ones in the repository (The offer better performance btw).
On my Fedora box, after every kernel update i have to re-compile my wireless drivers (madwifi). It's quite annoying, but a fab OS)Ill second that. Been using Ubuntu for a few days now and I love it. My only complaint is that I did a kernel update and never knew you had to reinstall my nvidia drivers after each kernel update so I spent a few hours swearing at it for starting in low graphics mode over and over again.

Why dont you just save the drivers into a folder, then copy then and install from the copy, that way next time you loose your drivers they will be on the desktop?
