Biggest difference is most music on Spotify is uploaded by the label or artist. Grooveshark allows anyone to from what I can see, as I often find really crap recordings of songs which are obviously straight from Limewire.Originally Posted by Doritos

It is a P2P player, which gets music from people who have installed the uploader application.
You can't even comment of the both since you haven't tried them both, where as I have.
