    Default Swimming - Help!

    Hey guys.

Right, I swim at a very high standard, I go 7-8 times a week, 2 consisting of morning training (getting up at 4:30, getting in pool at 5:00 swimming till 6:45) every training session is 1hour and 30mins, but 3 times a week we do Gym for 45 minutes, then swim.

I enjoy seeing my friends and going to different places to compete, but recently I've really grown to hate it.

I can't be bothered to go, I get really depressed over it. I feel the erge to quit, but I'm not sure if it's the right thing, is it just a phase I'm going through (As Ive just gone into a harder year at school) And I will miss my friends.

Also, my mum is crazy about my swimming, she takes everything into her own hands, if I miss a session she'll go crazy and we'll have a massive argument.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

(Not sure if this is in right part of the forum)

I used to swim competitively myself, and went through the same phase. In the end I just felt enough was enough and stopped swimming for the club.

I am sure that if you explain the situation to your parents, they will understand.
