Err. Just because he isn't stupid enough to waste hundreds of pounds on a phone doesn't make him a cheapskate.
I'm probably going to have to get that phone, all my other ones have given up.i've been here for over 8 years and i don't know why

It's not a waste if you choose to spend hundreds of pounds on a phone? :S You get the phone because you choose to. If you want to get a crap phone, well, you get what you pay for quite frankly.
