Now i think it's pretty damn impossible to understand what people are likely do, the way i see it, the VAT cut is good, i watch the news, i see that the they are planning on putting it back up to 17.5, not 18.5% in 13 months. I'm not scared about spending money. And i know alot of people including my family who share the same view as me, interest rates falling, taxes falling, people are gonna spend.
And theres been a possibility they may rise it above 17.5% for the past 10 years, but i just can't see it happening
I never said I thought the government was useless? I said some people find it useless and will naturally not believe what they say for very long.

And I never said I thought saving was good, I said it's better to spend but some will still save because there's still this doubt factor :/

I even went into suggesting that saving is about as good as spending at the moment, not everyone should spend and not everyone should save, it depends on the individual cases.

well think about it.. its gone up from 8% --> 10% and then it went from 10% to 15% i think then to 17.5 so im expecting it to go up soon anyway.

and as i said, you never know unless plans are leaked again

If you have savings or still earning good money feel free to spend but dont go to mad as we dont know how long this situation will last.
If you are living hand to mouth then you must try and save a little because this will affect you people the most the longer this all goes on.

Eventually Britain may become bankrupt, which means the pound will be worthless anyway because of inflation.

So yeah I say we should spend.
