    The NET profit isn't too good, but NET profit is minus tax, wages, all expenses, perhaps even re-investment in some cases. Still though, £400,000 into Aapo/Sampo's pocket isn't as much as I would expect, with the millions they get in revenue, they either have a high spending budget per EU hotel, or ridiculously high wages. Though I'd assume a hefty portion of that revenue was spent on marketing, as Habbo can be seen advertised on many major websites these days, they need to pull back the numbers on-line they once had at peak times. These days they can peak 10,000 at 6pm on the UK hotel, which I have to say, is higher than I've seen it this year.

    without this information you get the impression that they were losing money as another hotel closing but its obviously clear its cheaper.. wow. welldone sulake i spose?

    Traditionally in times of recession it is normal that people spend more money on entertainment, for example the video gaming industry has been on the increase a lot unlike things like the car industry which are dying. Habbo just about falls under Entertainment but there's little evidence to suggest that teenagers pocket money is going down because of the credit crunch, therefore people will still spend the usual and because Habbo is always expanding, they then make more profit.

    Anyone who knows anything about running a business would not see this as a reason to make credits cheaper, just because a firm is making a good profit does not mean it can ease off and pass the fortunes onto the customers, it makes economic sense to keep everything where it is atm as it is clearly doing well, if anything they could gamble rising the prices.

    Hardly any of you seem to view Habbo/Sulake as a business, I just can't believe you expect them to lower prices because they're doing well? :S

    Edit: Has anyone else realised that Habbo hasn't passed the 2.5% tax cuts onto us? They haven't lowered their prices at all so they're actually making more profit out these tax cuts.

    qft, i mean making profit would make you think that prices are right, making a loss would make you think prices are to high and need to go down

    Whoever thought of selling virtual furniture on an online game is a god dam genius, well at least in some ways. Anyone could of thought of it, but nobody ever went forwards with the idea. It is one of only a few companys that can make money from selling things that do not exist.
