Plug it in via ethernet, go to routerlogin.com in your browser (if you're also connected to the internet which I assume you are because you can post) and try logging in with username admin and password: password
If connected properly routerlogin.com should pop up asking you for a username and password immediately, you shouldn't be forwarded to the netgear website unless routerlogin.com isn't working properly or it's not recognising your router as being netgear.
In the admin control panel, once you're logged in, if you can login, it displays your wireless connection password etc.

I had all that when I first did it but I cannot remember the password or other details to get access to it to have laptops and other computers connected to it.
Underneath the router there is a small reset button. Hold it in for about 5 seconds then connect to your router using an Ethernet cable.
You could also try deleting your system32 folder.
Lets set the stage on fire, and hollywood will be jealous.
Thanks for your help, I reset the router and reset up the network and its working fine on my sisters laptop, just hope it works for my computer when I do it again later![]()
