How was it not stolen land? It was owned by Palestine and got taken from them, that is stealing. I'm not disputing that once Jerusalem was occupied by the Jews, but it's like saying we could go claim America as a colony of Britain because we used to own it.

Yeah, but when you tried to claim it, we blew your heads off in the Revolutionary war, and declared our independence as a new country.

So try and claim it then? Repeat of history?

That's not the point at all, and the War of Independence was us getting booted out not trying to take over so it doesn't quite fit. The point was that the land shouldn't have been taken in the first place, and your reply actually strengthens my reasoning - if England did for some reason attempt to take over one of the old colonies and claim ancestry, they'd fight back. Why then is Palestine being viewed as the bad lot for doing just that when half their country was taken from them?

Israel deserved it. It was theirs in the old days too.
Every year they are getting closer and closer to splitting it between Israelis and Palestinians.
The question is will it ever OFFICIALLY happen?
Look what happens when Palestinians get a piece of a land (Gaza).

Deserved it? When does deserving ever come into life? We could say Luxembourg is doing excellent, it has low-crime rates and everyone in the country is very rich, perhaps we should give them a bit of Belgium as a congratulations for their success's, it's well deserved.

Frankly I don't know why the Israeli's ever gave up Gaza, just why? It's 3-4 years wasted, they sort of give them the land and now they just want it back, at the cost of the people of Gaza. I was reading recently that Hamas is governed by around 500 people with PhDs, most of them who earned with docterates in the UK, the political party is one of the most intelligent in the world and for the whole peaceful, if you ever read the news closely it's not Hamas doing the rocket attacks, it's simply happening within Gaza but Hamas aren't stopping them, that's the main problem. Hamas has been great for Gaza, although Poverty is still incredibly high, they've brought peace within Gaza, there's no more corruption or gunmen in the streets and they've tried their hardest to get their appearance up in the West, but just today George W Bush labels them terrorists yet again. This has just unravlled the past 2 years hard-work by Hamas and the region will probably disappear and their work will most probably be lost.

btw Britain are as much to blame as the US, we were involved in the splitting up of it before WWII and ourselves and the US have funded Fatah in recent times to drive Hamas out of Gaza. Not to mention the US have regularly supplemented Israel with weapons and then sold them to Saudi Arabia who want to compete with Israel, American businesses do great out the conflicts.

Not at all, they've funded Israel way before America was attacked by Al Qaeda and then hated Islam. It's simply their way of having affluence in the region but the main thing is that there's a hell of a lot of Jews in America so it's almost their duty to maintain the Jewish homeland they feel.

They gave up Gaza 'to help the peace process', whether or not that worked, is unclear.
Hamas is a terrorist organization that wants to destroy Israel.... they haven't brought Peace, and they are not going to bring it anytime soon.
Israel was tired of being fired at for eight years, so they have launched an attack.
I was hoping it would be over soon, but they just sent in Ground Forces which means more people will be dieing on both sides.

Face it, Isreal only came into existance as the Western world didn't like Jewish people living in their land so they got rid of them by stealing land off the Arabs and bullying them into their own side. This was even before the holocast happened in the 2nd world war. The Palestinians are trying to fight back and regain their stolen land as they are getting bullied into staying on their side without any technology, food or aid. The only reason America are backing Isreal is because they are one of the main reasons to blame for all of the hatred in the middle East. It is clear that the Americans were always racist towards the Jews in the 1910's/20's when they started migrating in from eastern europe to seek fortune, they didn't like it so they got rid of all the Jews by giving them their so called "own land". Now that the US are over the Jew hatred and on a Islam hatred phase they are backing Isreal to get rid of the Muslims.
