    Default Windows 7 - Question

    If I downloaded Windows 7, I want to know the following... +REP to answers

    1) I just bought a new HP laptop, which has Vista Home Premium, It was a 250GB Hard Drive and 3GB memory, could it hold/run windows 7 easily with no problems?

    2) Can you switch back to Vista once you have downloaded Windows 7?

    Thanks

    1) Yes it could easily run Windows 7 as Windows 7 uses less resources that Vista.

    2) Yes, you can either create a new partition and keep both the OS's (so when you switch your computer on you will be asked if you want to boot windows 7 or vista) or you can put Windows 7 over the vista partition and then if you want vista back do a fresh install from the disk over the Windows 7 partition. I'd recommend the first option.

    If you have a vista recovery disk you should be fine if there is a problem in the windows 7 install.

    You could also "acquire" a copy of VMWare (or another Virtulization piece of software) and run it that way I believe.

    I know I was able to run Windows 7 using VMWare Fusion

    1024MB = 1GB

    And if we are talking VMWare Fusion you can just click the little plus, not sure about a Windows version because I haven't used it.
