Im on episode 4 atm, Ryu said to give it a bit until 30's.
It's alright so far, I like the gomu gomu rocket/pistol.

Well im just saying 30's because thats the Arlong arc and thats usually we're people tend to go "O.O wow" lol the episodes before that is all luffy gathering his crew, Once they get into the Grandline thats where it starts to get intresting which i think is the 50's

I gave it a try, I have watched it, and I would happy continue watching it but the character design just puts me off. Fair enough, the character design is one of the things that makes it quite unique, and it does fit well with the whole pirate theme, but it's just not for me.

The animation changes a few times, and they have diffrent teams of animators who do episodes which is sometimes good but character design stays same XD but thats what i like about it. No ones the same and you have all these diffrent looking people hm.

I always use Claymores in CoD4 to snipe they are the best and the animation is so smooth when they blow up.

Of course no character always stay the same, we're moving away from character designs here and moving onto personalities and the characters as people themselves. If every character stayed the same, character progression wouldn't exist. Also, anime series often have guest animators and directors who make one single episode, and that one episode often turns out worse than the rest. So I wouldn't list changing animation as a good thing, the animation should stay constant other than making it better due to more advances in technology. Changing animation would get seriously annoying.

The character design actually doesn't look too bad there. I like Nami's boobs. Maybe I watched some bad episodes? I'm a little intrigued now, but I still say it has to be one of the hardest character designs to get used to, in my opinion of course.

No i didnt mean like guest animators. Theres diffrent teams. ect. and sometimes they do a few episodes for an episode that is just made up of a fight for example. and there normaly done by one of the teams that do the movies so there always excellently animated.

And all of the strawhats i like. you can easily like them ect. and yea i think you did watch a few bad eps . And if you like namis boobs.. movie 6 has them bouncing all the time

And its not 370 eps its 386, plus the 9 movies, 2 ovas, 4 specials, ect. so this may take you a while to do movies and specials can be done after since there all filler.

Ah, well animation studio's are often made up of teams. It's good to know they have specific animators for fight scenes and stuff though.

you get the odd filler arc which may be about 5 eps. then it carrys on with canon storyline. and the fillers arent that bad aswell i sat through them all and enjoyed them lol. but yes its only short arcs before or after a large arc.

Episodes on tv would have been 4kids dub. and no wonder you havent watched it since. 4kids were ******* terrible. on youtube theres quite a few rant vids or vids showing the diffrences. They replaced the music, edited it, cut out scenes, moved around scenes.. even removed arc's which were important to the story lol.


and yea thats the movie lol.
