Yes that's true, even Katy Perry has confirmed that because she was at the studio at the time. The only reason the Avril fans are claiming it's a cover, is because the record label put her version onto a bonus version of her album, but her version is essentially a glorified demo, as is Jesse's version of BL as a bonus track on his album.

its only a US release afaik. She should release one thats only on the US album in the UK though (or from the old US album, i think there both the same now? :S)
