While I was playing motorstorm pacific rift online my game froze so I had to turn off the console, I then went back on to find that the game has started from the beginning - I think the savings have been corrupt, is there any way of getting them back?

If it's corrupt I don't think there is any way of getting it back. It's a good idea to back up your game saves onto an external hard drive or a memory stick every few days so if this happens again you can easily get an old backed up save and it wouldnt be as bad.
